About the Deacons Ministry
The Deacons serve as the caring hands of Melbourne Chin Church, supporting the pastoral team and ensuring the practical and spiritual needs of the congregation are met. Modelled on the servant leadership of the early church, our deacons lead by example in humility and love.
They oversee benevolence, member care, and the smooth running of church life, so that the church can flourish as a united family devoted to worship and service.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the pastoral team in the care of the congregation.
- Oversee benevolence and practical assistance for those in need.
- Assist in the ordinances of the church, such as communion and baptism.
- Promote unity, reconciliation, and fellowship within the church family.
- Ensure faithful stewardship of church resources and facilities.

Member Care & Visitation
Visiting and supporting the sick, elderly, and those in need.
